Hutchinson Manufacturing (HMI) has the infrastructure to support Commercial Grade Dedication of Safety Related Items intended for use in nuclear power plants. Our dedication activities ensure a Commercial Grade Item meets the necessary quality and performance requirements.
- HMI’s Quality department is responsible to execute the actions required to successfully procure, accept and dedicate CGIs.
- Ability to respond to an emergency order using existing commercial grade dedication material inventory
- Maintained documented procedures meeting the EPRI NP-5652 guideline for commercial grade items (CGI) dedication methods
Appropriate methods used at HMI for dedication include:

- Method 2 – Commercial Grade Survey of Supplier
- Method 3 – Source Verification
