Complete fabrication capabilities to provide quick turnaround of laser, plasma and metal formed components up to 10’ wide by 40’ long. A large capacity, modern equipment and the latest computer aided design software (otherwise known as CAD) allows for a variety of metal material grades and thicknesses to be sawed, plasma and laser cut, formed, and machined for fabricated products.
Available Types of Cutting and Bending
All manufacturing services are under one roof for efficiency in high volume contract fabrication.
Laser Cutting
A focused laser beam is directed at the material, which may melt, burn, vaporize away or is blown away by a jet of gas leaving an edge with a high-quality surface finish. Often used to cut flat-sheet material as well as structural and piping materials.
High Def Plasma
A process that cuts through electrically conductive materials by an accelerated jet of hot plasma. A plasma torch is used to cut through steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and copper, although other conductive metals may be cut as well.
Oxy-fuel cutting
Uses fuel gases and oxygen to cut metals. Pure oxygen is used to increase the flame temperature which produces localized melting of the metal or steel material. The initial cut is known as a piercing.
Saw Cutting
Is used for rough-cutting excess material away before machining or cutting curved patterns in sheet metal.
Press Break Forming
One of the oldest mechanical metal deformation processes. A press break is used to bend sheet metal. The machine makes predetermined bends by clamping the workpiece between a matching punch and die.
Plate Rolling
A plate rolling machine is used to roll different kinds of metal sheets into round or conical shapes.
CNC Machining Services
The CNC machine manufacturing process is used to control complex machinery, from grinders and lathes to mills and routers. First, a direct link to the CAD and CAM (Computer-aided manufacturing) network is used to increase efficiency and accuracy, while decreasing costs. The CNC controlled machines are capable of saving specific bend formulas and die combinations to assure parts meet specification every time. The CNC equipment and experienced machine operators can output the highest quality, repeatable metal parts – big or small.
Accepted CAD Designs
Existing CAD geometry may be supplied for fabricated steel components and part projects. The following file types are accepted: NEED ACTUAL FILE TYPES ACCEPTED
Common CAD File Extensions used in Manufacturing
The most common CAD file extensions include .DWG, .DXF, .DGN, and .STL. Two-Dimensional or 2D CAD designs are often referred to as drawings. Three-Dimensional or 3D CAD designs are frequently named models, parts or assemblies.
All CAD File Formats by Software and Extension
Brep or Boundary Representation is a true CAD format. Visrep or Visual Representation is a polygonal or tessellation format.
